The P-166Ts BUU-02 (П-166Ц БУУ-02) interface unit is designed to receive encoded emergency alert signals and to build an on-site (facility) alert system integrated with the regional automated centralized civil alert system (RASTsO / РАСЦО). It is deployed in many regions of the Russian Federation.
The unit connects over a secure VPN channel to the upper-tier P-166Ts equipment at the regional alert control center (PSTs), crisis management center (TsUKS), or unified duty dispatch service (EDDS). Upon an alert signal (for example, an air-raid warning), the unit activates electric sirens and feeds a voice alert signal to the sound reinforcement equipment for broadcast over the loudspeakers of the public address (PA) system.
Compatibility with VPA equipment: the unit's line-level audio output (0.775 V) is fed to the priority microphone or line input of the amplifier. Every model in the VPA range has such an input, so any VPA mixer amplifier is suitable. The dry-contact trigger output is used as required, depending on the technical interconnection specifications.
The unit provides:
— reception of alert commands and alert information from the P-166Ts terminal (APU-RSO / APU-Ts) in all-call and selective modes;
— acknowledgement: reporting the results of executed commands back to the control console;
— control of two electric sirens in continuous or intermittent mode;
— control of the radio relay installation and sound reinforcement equipment by feeding the voice alert signal;
— monitoring of sensor status;
— recording and playback of pre-prepared audio messages from removable media;
— event logging, remote monitoring via the built-in web server and FTP, and remote software updates.
